Stanley Travel secures three-year deal with Emirates
Stanley Travel has secured another three year contract with Emirates Airlines to transport their crew and provide transport for any diversions or disruption to flights.
The contract starts from 1st September and involves transposing crew to/from their layover hotel to Newcastle Airport for the Dubai flight every day.
The County Durham family business has worked with Emirates on an ‘ad hoc’ basis since the daily Dubai flight started at Newcastle Airport on 1st September 2007.
On 1st September 2012, the firm won the Crew Transport contract, which coincided with the launch of the new larger Boeing 777 operating the Dubai/Newcastle route.
Stanley Travel has achieved sales growth of 98% from £1.8m to £3.56m during the last 10 years and has also achieved 93% growth in fleet value from £800k to £1.55m whilst simultaneously keeping the business in the hands of the founding family for almost 55 years.
Andrew Scott, director at Stanley Travel told Bdaily: “This is a very prestigious contract for Stanley Travel. We are absolutely delighted Emirates have decided to continue the successful partnership with ourselves and is testimony to the quality of service we have delivered since launching its daily flight from Dubai to Newcastle in 2007.
“To be associated with such a global brand offers a tremendous endorsement to our operation.”
