Designer Habitat announces Tesco partnership and 40% sales leap
Designer Habitat, the kitchen and homeware company based in Manchester, has boosted its sales by 40% and signed a new deal with multinational grocer and retailer Tesco.
The firm has seen its sales increase to £14m in the first six months of 2015, up from £10m at the same point last year. The figures were released after the company’s VonHaus and VonShef brands were launched online with Tesco.
Mark Januszewski, Designer Habitat’s CEO, said: “We’ve had an incredibly successful 2015 to date and our momentum remains strong.
“Our period of growth during the last financial year is mainly down to how we quickly we can respond to consumer trends and bring products to market.”
Mark added: “We work hard to maintain high levels of service with all customers and are constantly looking at ways to increase brand awareness and boost customer loyalty.”
Now the firm plans to hit £38m in sales in the current financial year, and grow by a further 40% over the next through overseas expansion.
Mark continued: “Export sales will be a key area for us over the coming months and we hope that by nurturing these relationships, we can look forward to further growth by this time next year.”
