4 Star Accreditation for Construction Cleaning Company

A North East cleaning company has been awarded a 4 star accreditation after an annual Achilles

BuildingConfidence audit.

Darlington-based MJF Site Services have spent the last year working to improve what they do as a

business. This has recently been shown during the annual Achilles Audit, where MJF were awarded a

4 star rating for the first time.

Martin Ferguson, Managing Director of MJF Site Services said, “Much time and effort had been spent

ensuring our readiness for the Achilles audit. It involved scrutinising all policies and procedures and

updating where necessary as well as the gathering of relevant evidence to show conformance across

all areas of work undertaken.“

To pass the Achilles BuildingConfidence Audit, MJF had to undergo a rigorous audit to assess the

company’s capability, competence and compliance in line with the relevant audit protocol.

The criteria for the star rating for accredited suppliers is calculated based on the number of A3 non-

compliances recorded during the audit process. 4 stars are only awarded to those companies that

have zero non-compliances.

The review covers the company’s policies and processes, and ensures that they adhere to them in

day to day operations, which gives MJF, as a business, increased credibility as it demonstrates

compliance and improvement against a leading standard of excellence.

“From a client’s point of view, they know that Achilles BuildingConfidence is designed to meet the

increasingly demanding legislative and risk management needs of the construction industry and is,

thus, managed by a Steering Group comprising of members from across the sector to drive industry

best practice,“ explained Martin.

“It ensures companies can select accredited suppliers who meet these stringent regulations, which

aids them in managing risk, reducing costs and gives them peace of mind that the suppliers they

choose work towards continual improvement against the latest industry best practise.“
