Shred. Eat cake. Donate – Wednesday 23rd September
Russell Richardson are inviting individuals and small businesses to enjoy a slice of cake (or two!) while they protect themselves against identity theft as they join the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Wednesday 23rd September.
Staff from Russell Richardson have been offering to bake cakes, buns and biscuits for the event where people will be able to bring any confidential documents to their site at Attercliffe, Sheffield, for securely shredding while they enjoy the tasty treats, in return for a donation to Macmillan.
The official date for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Friday 25th September, but Russell Richardson have decided to hold their event on the Wednesday before, so not to clash with others hosting coffee mornings and so that more staff will be in the office to bring in their bakes, enjoy the cakes and join in with the fundraising.
“Everyone in the office and warehouse is getting behind the Macmillan coffee morning and bringing in some baking,” said Jonathan Richardson, managing director at Russell Richardson. “Even the non-bakers amongst us are going to have a go. I’ve volunteered to bring in some of my legendary chocolate fudge so people wanting to try this are advised to bring us their shredding early before it all goes!”
Russell Richardson have been proudly supporting Macmillan Cancer Support with their charity shredding service for the past ten years and have raised over ten thousand pounds during this period. Not only does the service raise valuable funds for the four chosen charities, it provides a solution for those looking to dispose of confidential and personal documents in a secure way.
*Please note that Russell Richardson is not be able to provide certificates of destruction for any documents shredded in return for a charity donation. Certification can be provided for an additional administration charge.
