Manufacturer’s investment leads to national awards shortlist
Warrington-based filter manufacturer, Croft Filters, has been shortlisted in the Innovation and Design category at The Manufacturer MX Awards 2015, following the launch of a new development programme.
Croft has used metal additive manufacturing, or 3D printing, as well as traditional manufacturing methods to widen the range of products it can offer and provide unique solutions to meet its customers’ specific needs.
Neil Burns, director at Croft, explained: “During the past year, we have used the opportunities that 3D metal printing offers us to really drive innovation and have received grants, including funding from the Regional Growth Fund, which we have invested in a new state-of-the-art punch press machine, costing a quarter of a million pounds.
“This award shortlist is testament to our team and our investment in developing additive manufacturing. Regardless of the result, it’s great to see our hard work being recognised by the industry.”
The winners of The Manufacturer MX Awards 2015 will be announced at an Awards Dinner on November 26th.
