Author Dedicates his Earnings to Smile Train
Book entrepreneur Roger Ley has decided to dedicate half the profits of his new book ‘A Horse In The Morning’ to the international children’s charity Smile Train.
The book - which is now available to buy on Amazon - is a humorous and extraordinary memoir of Roger’s life as an engineer, teacher, actor, father and failed astronaut, in which he tells us dramatic, mysterious and amusing stories with quirky British humour. Having only been published for a short while, extracts from Roger’s book have already appeared in popular publications such as The Guardian, The Oldie, Best of British and Jeff Hawke’s Cosmos.
After completing the book, Roger made the decision to donate half of his earnings to Smile Train, a charity which provides essential training and funding to local doctors in over 85 developing countries, enabling them to provide cleft lip and palate repair surgery and related treatment in their communities. When Roger was younger, his elder brother was involved in a car accident which left him with facial injuries and desperately in need of surgery. For this reason, Roger understands how important it is for children with facial abnormalities, such as cleft lip and palate, to receive medical help so that they can live their life to the full.
A Horse in the Morning is now available to buy for Kindle at £2.57 or paperback at £6.75 on www.amazon.co.uk
