BLE ‘Comes Up Trumpfs’ With Latest Investment
Sheffield based BLE Smoke & Fire Curtains has made a £250,000 investment in new equipment, in a bid to increase capacity at its site in Holbrook.
The specialists in smoke and fire curtains, has invested in a new CNC Punch and CNC Bending Machine from Trumpf, along with brand new Solidworks Software to help shorten both the lead time and manufacturing process for its clients.
The new investment will be used to make the steel head boxes that the firm’s smoke and fire curtains are fixed into, and the investment in Solidworks Software will allow the team to create the CAD drawings, which are sent directly into the machine for them to be produced.
Nigel Ward, managing director at BLE Smoke & Fire Curtains, said: “We decided to make an investment in technology, which is expected to create more jobs at our site in Holbrook, in addition to meeting the ever changing needs of our existing client base.”
BLE Smoke and Fire Curtains specialises in the design, manufacturing and installation of gravity fail-safe smoke and fire curtains, for airports, shopping centres, theatres, businesses and museums around the world.
Mr Ward added: “It has been a fantastic year here at BLE and now that we have been able to reinvest money back into the business, it is hoped that this will catapult BLE Smoke & Fire to the next level.”
