Progress Evolves Telerik DevCraft for .NET Community
New Release Introduces UI for UWP and Spreadsheet for Web and Report Server. Enhancing the De Facto Standard in .NET Development
London, UK.—September 30, 2015—Progress (NASDAQ: PRGS) today announced the latest release of Telerik® DevCraft™ suite, the leading end-to-end professional .NET development suite. The new release introduces significant enhancements for web, desktop and mobile, development, as well as reporting—empowering its 1.8M strong developer community to code and create applications across channels, easily and effectively.
New in the Q3 Telerik DevCraft release:
Telerik UI for Universal Windows Platform: The first preview of a set of controls compatible with the latest Universal Windows Platform (UWP). The controls can be used for creating Windows 10 applications that share a single codebase and can run on a multitude of Windows 10 devices. The bundle contains 19 controls, including data visualization controls (Chart, BulletGraph and Gauges), data presentation and editing controls (DataForm and ListView) as well as a map, calendar and a number of input pickers and navigation controls.
Spreadsheet for Kendo UI®, ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms: Telerik web UI suites now enable developers to visualize and manage data in Excel-like sheets, to improve data management within business applications. The new offering delivers Excel-like functionality such as formulas, navigation, conditional formatting, the ability to export Excel files and more. Report Server Scheduling and Active Directory Integration: With today’s release, Telerik Report Server enables developers to schedule automated report tasks to run daily, monthly or on demand, via printed format or email. Users can now authenticate with Active |Directory (Microsoft AD FS) credentials, so developers can integrate the Report Server with their company security policies more easily. Desktop–New Feature Highlights: As part of the Q3 release, Telerik DevCraft suite now includes a new DataLayoutControl for WinForms, and a TimeSpanPicker component for WPF, as well as improvements across multiple desktop UI controls.
“We know the demands on the developer community to create new and updated apps are moving at a faster pace than ever,” said Marina Hristova, VP, Product Marketing & Management, Telerik DevTools, Progress. “It’s why we continue to maintain an aggressive release cycle for our Telerik family of UI tools and components. Our developers require the latest and greatest innovations, and we deliver them, time and again.”
