EventServ takes the hot seat
EventServ - one of the UK’s leading event infrastructure suppliers - installed over 2,000 grandstand seats for the 2015 World Pipe Band Championships last month. EventServ won Glasgow Life’s tender in 2014 for the provision of the grandstand seating for the Championship for two years.
Seating installation took place at Glasgow Green, one of Glasgow’s oldest parks and included a specially-manufactured curve (splay) to maximise capacity in a tight space.
Winners of the championships were Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia who beat 230 bands who competed over the two days in front of a 40,000 audience.
The event, delivered by Glasgow Life on behalf of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association and Glasgow City Council, has had a long association with the city.
EventServ partners with Glasgow Life supporting its sub-brand Glasgow Sport as a Sports Pillar sponsor. Through the partnership, EventServ provides financial support as well as event services to Glasgow Life, helping the charity maintain and deliver sporting facilities, projects and events to communities in Glasgow.
