Law firm Jackson Canter expands commercial department with acquisition
Jackson Canter Group, the Liverpool-based law firm, has expanded with the acquisition of North West commercial law practice Cope & Co.
The acquisition, which increases Jackson Canter’s presence in the commercial sector, will see Cope & Co founder Paul Cope working closely with the firm on a consultancy basis to ensure a smooth transition process for clients.
Jackson Canter, meanwhile, has appointed a new head of its commercial department, Sarah Nolan, to replace current commercial head Michael Sandys when he leaves the company later this month.
Andrew Holroyd, Jackson Canter CEO, said: “Cope & Co have a reputation for a high standard of commercial legal services, combining innovative processes with no fuss, approachable service.
“Cope & Co is a natural fit for our customer centric ethos and we believe will fit seamlessly into our operating model.”
He added: “We are delighted to welcome them into the Jackson CanterGroup as we continue to aggressively expand the business.”
Discussing the acquisition, Paul Cope said he is “delighted” that Cope & Co will form part of Jackson Canter Group.
He said: “It is a firm that shares our philosophy for serving clients’ needs in a transparent and clear way.
“Working within a larger organisation will enable the provision of an unbeatable service to our clients.”
