North West insurance broker branches out with new online business
David Roberts & Partners, the Southport-based insurance broker, has expanded with the launch of an online business.
The firm’s new offering, Quote Dave, is aimed at smaller companies struggling to find the right cover and offers policies from a number of insurers, including AXA, RSA and Allianz.
The firm believes Quote Dave will allow it to target customers in new areas across the UK.
Stuart Bennett, a director at David Roberts & Partners, said: “We believe Quote Dave fills an important gap in the insurance market.
“A number of insurance brokers are consolidating which means smaller businesses are finding it harder to get the personal advice and find the right policy for them, while many other online sites are simply pushing the cheapest policy without any advice.”
The company is targeting business owners in a range of sectors, including restaurant and café owners, small manufacturers, cleaners, builders, joiners, carpenters and landlords.
Policies include manufacturer and wholesaler insurance, commercial vehicle insurance and landlord insurance. Quote Dave is also offering cover in the event of cyber attacks, incidents of which hit the headlines last week.
Stuart continued: “It is easy to arrange cheap insurance but it is liable to come back and bite you when the business has to make a claim.
“A £50 saving is not much use when you have to make a claim for £5,000 and find the cover is not there or the excess is £1,000.”
Founded in 1977, David Roberts & Partners is led by director Stuart Bennett and managing director John Page.
