Telehealth firm Dr Now targets expansion with MediaCityUK move
Dr Now, a telehealth firm founded in Liverpool, is opening an office at the MediaCityUK development in Greater Manchester.
The firm, which is part of Now Healthcare Group, is relocating its development and technology division from Albert Dock in Liverpool to Salford’s Digital World Centre.
Lee Dentith, the founder of Now Healthcare Group and Dr Now, commented: “We’re delighted to be in a position to expand the business at Dr Now and we’re thrilled to announce a new office for our development and tech teams in one of the most vibrant, progressive and exciting areas of the North West.”
Speaking further, he said that while the company is “extremely proud” of its Liverpool roots, being based at MediaCityUK will allow the firm to take advantage of the “growing digital opportunities” available in the Manchester area.
Lee said the move will “further cement Dr Now’s status as the number one telehealth organisation in Britain”.
Dr Now, an app offering video consultations with doctors via a smartphone, launched in June this year.
