Styles&Wood completes £2.4m Lowry refurb
Property services and project delivery firm Styles&Wood has completed its £2.4m refurb at the Lowry theatre and gallery in Salford Quays.
The work saw the creation of 8,600 sq ft of dining and event space, incorporating an extension in the style of shipping containers to provide an additional terrace area, as well as a new restaurant and bar called Pier Eight
Styles&Wood’s operations director, Paul Lonsdale, said: “Our team has a great deal of experience working across the leisure and hospitality sectors, and we have worked closely with The Lowry’s management team throughout the project to ensure a smooth completion.
“With more than 800k visitors every year there is no doubt that the new restaurant and event space will only add to The Lowry’s appeal and act as a further draw to those visiting Salford Quays.”
The Pier Eight restaurant seats 300, while the new event space holds 100 and is available for corporate and private hire.
The chief executive of The Lowry, Julia Fawcett OBE, commented: “We’re absolutely delighted with the outcome of this project, the new extension has created a range of beautiful, elegant areas for socialising and corporate entertaining that will offer more to the community here in Salford Quays, as well as becoming a destination location in their own right.”
