The win marks a second round of funding for Stepping into Business

Manchester firm Stepping into Business secures £250k boost

Stepping into Business has secured £250k in funding during stage two of economic growth driver Innovate UK’s Learning Technologies: Design for Impact competition.

The Manchester-based company plans to use the investment to develop a digital version of its classroom-based Enterprise Education programme.

The win marks a second round of funding for Stepping into Business, with the first put towards research into bringing Enterprise Education online.

Stepping into Business’ director, Dinah Turner, commented: “We are working with Local Enterprise Partnerships across the UK in order to find out about local and national challenges and how our solutions help to resolve those for young people and children.

“We need to help young people and children understand enterprise and business from an early age so they are as familiar with that as they are with other subjects and topics we cover at school.”

She added: “For instance, we need to develop skills that help creative problem solving as our future world is so uncertain.”
