Law firm Addleshaw Goddard announces Manchester move
Corporate law firm Addleshaw Goddard has revealed plans to move its Manchester office to One St Peter’s Square next year.
Based in Barbirolli Square for 18 years, Addleshaw Goddard will relocate its Manchester team in February 2017, taking up 56,000 sq ft of space in the 13-storey development on a 20-year lease.
Developed by Elisabeth House General Partner Limited, a joint venture comprising property developer Argent and the Greater Manchester Pension Fund, One St Peter’s Square sits in the heart of the city’s newly transformed business district.
Malcolm Pike, the head of Addleshaw Goddard’s Manchester office, said: “One St Peter’s Square has become an iconic development in Manchester, sitting at the heart of the newly regenerated St Peter’s Square.
“Our move reinforces our commitment to the city, which is fast becoming a leading centre outside of London for professional services.”
He added: “1SPS truly reflects our vision, ambitions and aspirations and will allow us to build on our past achievements whilst giving us the space to invest in our future success.”
Commercial and residential property services firm JLL’s Manchester-based director, Chris Mulcahy, acted for Addleshaw Goddard during the deal, while James Evans of estate agents Savills represented Argent along with joint agent GVA.
