Plans revealed for ‘landmark’ four-tower scheme in Manchester
Plans will be submitted next month for a new four-tower residential scheme in Manchester.
CQ Investments Limited, which is part of construction firm Renaker Build, revealed its proposal to use a 15,571 sq ft site on Owen Street to create over 1,400 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
The development includes an indoor tennis court, swimming pool and spa, along with a gym, beauty treatment facilities, cinema and rooftop bar. Further, a three-level basement carpark will also be outlined in the plans.
Elsewhere, CQ Investments Limited plans to create a 9,000 sq ft public square with flexible retail and entertainment space, including a ground-floor restaurant and bar, adjacent to the River Medlock.
The heights of the four residential towers proposed will range between 38 and 64 storeys.
A CQ Investments spokesperson commented: “Our proposals provide a fantastic opportunity to develop a series of landmark buildings set within a high quality public space creating a new community and attractive destination in the city centre.
“The arrangement, range and specification of accommodation planned combined with the amenity and service provision will deliver highly desirable and important new homes to Manchester.”
If the scheme receives planning consent, construction work will commence in Q3 2016, with completion due in 2020.
Manchester-headquartered architecture firm Simpson Haugh & Partners, which designed the city’s iconic Beetham Tower, is working on the scheme, while the planning application has been coordinated by the real estate arm of professional services company Deloitte.
