Laura Lloyd named as Barratt Homes’ finance director
Barratt Homes has appointed Laura Lloyd as its new finance director for the Bristol division.
The role is another step up the ladder for Laura, who first worked for the company as a placement student during her degree and has worked her way up the ranks since joining the five star housebuilder.
Laura impressed managers at Barratt so much during her placement in 2004 that she was offered a job as an assistant accountant as soon as she completed her degree at Plymouth University.
Over the years she progressed to become a finance manager and has now been appointed as finance director, overseeing a team of eight.
Laura, who lives in Bristol, said: “It’s always been my dream job and I’m thrilled to take the position. Barratt Homes has been so supportive in helping me achieve my ambitions, backing me in a number of additional accounting qualifications and giving extra training and it really has paid off. The reason I enjoy working here is that while we’re dealing with huge numbers, the company has a real family feel. It’s a great place to work.”
