Flybe expands at John Lennon Airport with new Cornwall service

British regional airline Flybe is set to introduce a new route at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) to connect Merseyside with Cornwall.

Kicking off in May, the flights between LJLA and Cornwall Airport Newquay will depart Liverpool every Saturday evening and take around 75 minutes.

LJLA’s head of PR, Robin Tudor, said: “Cornwall is a beautiful part of the country but notoriously difficult to get to at the best of times, taking at least five hours by car and even longer by train from Liverpool.

“Flybe’s flight to Cornwall Airport Newquay will mean the region’s holidaymakers can be there in just over an hour saving all the hassle and able to spend more time to enjoy this popular holiday region.”

The Cornwall flights, which take Flybe’s weekly total at LJLA to 180, are the latest in a string of new Liverpool routes for the firm. In September, the carrier launched a new service from LJLA to Amsterdam.
