SaladPride Cafe to open doors at Seven Dials

New dining concept SaladPride is to launch its first standalone cafe at 2 Neal’s Yard in London’s high-end shopping district Seven Dials, Shaftesbury has announced.

SaladPride, which was founded in 2010, is the brainchild of David Bez and began life as a daily food blog before David launched his first book, SaladLove, in 2014.

The March 2016 launch of the new 333 sq ft cafe will be the brand’s first foray into bricks and mortar retail and will look to build on the blog’s 50,000-strong global following on social media.

The SaladPride Cafe will stock a range of freshly-made salads along with healthy drinks, cakes, snacks and SaladPride branded dressings, drinks and dips.

David Bez believes Neal’s Yard is ‘the ideal location for SaladPride’ and said: “Starting with a very big player like Shaftesbury has been an incredible experience and I’m so glad that I’m able to realise my dream of opening my first café in central London.

“There is a true affinity with Seven Dials. In addition the location is perfectly positioned to capture a fantastic lunchtime market from tourists, offices and local community.”

Charles Owen, Portfolio Executive at Shaftesbury, also believes the cafe is a good fit with Seven Dial’s current retail lineup and added: “SaladPride is exactly the type of brand we look for at Seven Dials and is part of our strategy to grow original and innovative concepts.

“Neal’s Yard acts as the perfect location to nurture new brands and see them evolve; Homeslice being a prime example of this and we look forward to welcoming David’s exciting and healthy food to Seven Dials.”

The new cafe joins the likes of 26 Grains and the Free Range Bakery People who opened in Neal’s Yard last year.
