What rights do UK businesses have when it comes to late payments - Lovetts available for expert comment
Late Payment – exactly what rights do UK businesses have?
And how can they use their rights without it costing an arm and a leg?
Expert media comment available from Lovetts
With over 20 years in commercial debt recovery legal firm Lovetts’, MD Michael Higgins or Chairman, Charles Wilson can comment on:
The rise in debt levels being seen amongst UK businesses – the number of CCJs being issued against UK business has risen for the first time in 3 years How businesses should be exploiting changes to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (‘Late Payment Act’) to make the debt recovery process completely free The key steps businesses should be taking to protect themselves from a debt cycle – one company stalling on payment because they haven’t been paid… How firms can get over the fear of upsetting customers and damaging client relationships A little known fact that if a past or current customer has consistently paid you late, the supplier can recover compensation and interest retrospectively on every invoice paid late going back 6 years. Recovery of debts owed to NHS Hospitals from overseas patients - a result of changes to the way overseas visitors who need healthcare while in England are charged for using the NHS, announced in February 2015.
