Newcastle creative agency purchases city centre premises with Barclays funding
Creative design and advertising agency Stark Hartley Atkinson Limited has landed an undisclosed sum from Barclays to purchase its Leazes Park Road premises in Newcastle.
Established in 2007, the firm is run by Nigel Hartley and Daran Atkinson and employs ten people in total.
MD Nigel Hartley said: “Daran and I decided to launch our own business in 2007 and it’s been amazing working for ourselves and growing the business over the years.
“We’re proud that we now have some impressive global brands as customers like Zanussi and Electrolux, but we’ve also retained the smaller business customers locally and helping them create brand awareness is hugely important for them to grow.
Martin Griggs, Business Banking Manager at Barclays who put together the funding package for the deal, said: “Nigel and Daran run an excellent business and have enormous experience in this sector.
“It’s great to be able to support a local business that is thriving and expanding for the future and we look forward to seeing the business continue to grow in the coming years and supporting them with their future needs.”
Nigel added: “Buying our own premises helps secure the future of the business and takes us into our next phase of growth.”
