25 jobs lost as West Yorkshire’s Intu-Tech appoints administrator

West Yorkshire-based installer of fire protection systems, Intu-Tech Ltd, has been placed into administration.

The company was established in 2007 by directors Lee Southon and James Egan, who have appointed Jonathan Paul Philmore of Philmore & Co as the administrator.

This announcement follows a period of challenging trading conditions exacerbated by a significant bad debt suffered by Intu-Tech during the course of 2015.

Intu-Tech provided a range of services including structural protection, thermal insulation and the installation of fire barriers.

With turnover in the region of £6.5m in 2015, the company employed approximately 25 people, all of whom have been made redundant.

Jonathan Paul Philmore of Philmore & Co, said: “It is regrettable that after the company built up a strong reputation across the UK with some leading construction companies, the business has been placed into Administration.

“Following my appointment, our focus will be on collecting trade debts and realising assets of the business for the benefit of the company’s creditors.”
