Liverpool airport smashes February passenger figures
The passenger growth trend at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) continued last month, with thousands more people using the site compared to February 2015.
Close to 60k more business travellers and holidaymakers chose to fly out from LJLA in February, a year-on-year increase of 22%.
So far this year, LJLA has added a number of new services to its expanding route network.
In January, Hungarian airline Wizz Air announced new flights to Budapest and Katowice, while British carrier Flybe unveiled plans to connect LJLA with Cornwall.
At the end of 2015, the airport concluded its busiest 12 months since 2012, with year-on-year passenger growth of 8%.
