Bolton firm Telesis targets turnover growth with £1.8m acquisition
Telesis, the Bolton-based business communications firm, has signed a £1.8m deal to acquire two of Nine Telecom Group’s (NTG) customer bases.
Supported with £1.25m in funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland’s corporate transactions team, the deal will see Telesis acquire 600 new end users and boost its revenue by £1.35m over the next 12 months.
The transaction, which forms part of Telesis’ ongoing expansion strategy, is the company’s second acquisition in the last eight months and follows a deal signed with communications firm Direct Telecom in June.
Telesis’ director, Christian Bleakley, said: “The acquisition is great news for Telesis and is an integral part of our plans for growth.
“Our objective is to achieve £10m annual turnover in the next three years and this latest deal will provide a real boost to revenues to help us achieve that goal.”
He added: “We have been really impressed with the team at Royal Bank of Scotland and the support we have received.”
Founded in 2009, today Telesis has a turnover of £5m and employs more than 50 people.
The regional head of the North and Scotland in RBS’ corporate transactions team, John Copping, commented: “Telesis is led by an impressive management team who has a wealth of experience and strong strategic grasp of the sector.
“I am pleased that we have been able to support the company with its second acquisition deal.”
He continued: “It is great to work alongside such a dynamic local business and to help them to achieve their growth aspirations.”
