Monarch Airlines announces new Malaga winter flights at Leeds Bradford Airport
Monarch Airlines has announced a new winter route from Leeds Bradford Airport to Malaga on the Costa Del Sol as part of its winter schedule for 2016/17.
The new winter route to Malaga will now operate throughout the winter months, flying twice a week on a Monday and Saturday.
Marjan Schoeke, Monarch’s head of network development, commented: “We continuously refine and develop our network strategy looking closely at where and at what time our customers want to fly.
“We are pleased to be able to introduce Malaga from Leeds Bradford as a winter destination for the first time.”
Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airport’s aviation development director, said: “Leeds Bradford welcomes the arrival of a new winter Monarch route serving the Costa Del Sol.
“This route will now operate year round providing easy access for Yorkshire overseas home owners and holidaymakers alike. Malaga becomes Monarch’s 5th winter destination to be flown from Leeds Bradford alongside Alicante, Faro, Tenerife and Barcelona.”
The winter schedule for 2016/17 from Leeds Bradford has already seen the introduction of more sociable flight times catering perfectly for customers wanting a short city break or an extended winter sun holiday.
