Sandbach squad stays toasty thanks to housebuilder donation
Local under 11s football team, Sandbach Community Football Club, is proudly sporting its smart new winter training kit, thanks to a donation of training coats from local house builder, David Wilson Homes (DWH North West).
The team successfully applied for funds through DWH North West’s charitable and community scheme, Our Space, Your Place, and has since been training in all weathers looking super cool!
Sandbach Community Football Club is part of Sandbach United and plays within several Cheshire leagues. The team trains and plays at a site close to several of DWH North West’s developments, including: Gilbert’s Cross in Sandbach; Meadow View, Crewe; Stapeley Gardens, Nantwich and Haddington Park, Tarporley.
Andrew Taylor, Our Space, Your Place Project Coordinator and Planning Director at DWH North West, comments: “It’s great to support talented youngsters in and around the areas in which we build. 2016 has certainly had a frosty start and we were only too happy to provide training jackets for Sandbach Community Football Club to make sure that the lads are kept cosy as they practice on the pitch.”
