Bury firm Garic expands with 160,000 sq ft West Midlands depot
Garic, a plant and welfare facilities supplier for the utilities and construction sectors, is set to create 16 jobs after expanding into the West Midlands.
The Bury-headquartered firm has opened a new 160,000 sq ft facility on Birmingham New Road in Dudley, marking its first foray into the region.
In the last year, Garic has invested £14m and seen its revenue leap by 31%
The firm’s managing director, Colin Hotchkiss, commented: “The success of our business is dependent upon dispatching consistently top quality equipment quickly, transporting it efficiently and maintaining it effectively whilst it’s on site, wherever it is.
“This is the logical next step to support our incredibly loyal customer base.”
Discussing the launch of the new depot, Garic’s director, Neil Richardson, said that as the company has been supplying products to Midlands clients “for many years”, the time was right to establish a dedicated operation in the region.
Neil said: “Having a fleet of over 10k products directly available, backed up by the fantastic team we’ve put together, will help us provide an even more responsive service.”
