Pump Station Refresh in Hampshire

Rob and Matthew, RA Dalton Servicing Engineers, have been jointly attending sites this week that require a little more than one person’s work! This site in Hampshire has an old twin pump station underneath their car park which needed a full service, including unblocking the heavy-duty pumps installed. Matthew set up the lifting frame over the manhole, and both engineers worked to safely lift the pumps out, before thoroughly unblocking and cleaning both pumps, and electrically testing them to ensure that they were performing correctly. The airlifts, chains and pipework also needed replacing in parts, and a full refresh was required! A quick job for the pressure washer, and after fresh grease being applied to the chains, the system was left squeaky clean and ready to go!
