Thirst for business quenched in Stokesley
Hambleton’s popular free business networking event takes place this Thursday at The Mill in Stokesley.
Businesses in and around the market town are invited to attend Thirsty Thursday to promote their services, skills and opportunities.
The event will also provide the opportunity for businesses to find out more about the final plans for Stokesley TourFest, which takes place on Sunday May 1st to mark the arrival of the Tour de Yorkshire in Stokesley. TourFest will see a day long festival style celebration in the town involving many local businesses and featuring live music, family events and various stalls.
Local businesses are invited to attend Thirsty Thursday, held at The Mill on Springfield, free of charge, between 5pm and 7pm.
Thirsty Thursday, established by local businesswomen Anna Addison and Sue Thompson, celebrated its first anniversary last November and this will be the group’s 15th meeting. Hundreds of businesses have taken part so far and each event regularly attracts over 40 different organisations.
Anna said: “It’s a really exciting time in Stokesley as the town gets ready for TourFest which promises to be a huge event. Thirsty Thursday, local businesses and the Parish Council have been working closely to make it a real stand-out attraction on the Tour de Yorkshire route and we’ll be able to reveal final details this Thursday.”
