Beech backs Conwy Business Awards Green Business prize
The Conwy Business Awards has announced that local housebuilder Beech Developments will sponsor this year’s Green Business of the Year category.
Beech has made ecological sustainability, green energy and home efficiency the cornerstones of its business. Its developments have led the way in harnessing solar energy, fitting solar PV panels as standard to allow homeowners to generate renewable energy and benefit from the feed-in tariff.
Now in its 21st year, Beech Developments will support the search for the best green business at the Conwy Business Awards in association with Conwy Business Centre and Conwy County Borough Council.
“Finding ways to do business and benefit the environment, or do business to benefit the environment, is hugely important,” said Beech Developments Managing Director Matthew Gilmartin.
“Here in Conwy the positive impact of businesses which are committed to eco-friendly ways of working, or those developing new ways of monitoring and protecting our natural landscape, is felt more keenly. We have the greatest, most beautiful ecology in Wales right on our doorstep and we all understand the need to live alongside it and protect it while continuing to create jobs and investment.
“As a local business, we understand the importance of that and we have always strived to lead the way in ensuring our developments are well planned and equipped with the environment in mind.
“Now we are proud to be able to help recognise other Conwy businesses who have the same ethos and are playing an important part in maintaining the balance between business and the world in which we live.”
The Conwy Business Awards take place on Friday, May 6 at Venue Cymru in Llandudno. Visit http://conwybusinesscentre.com/conwy-business-awards for more information.
