Inspirational accolade for The Right Fuelcard Company placement student
Sheffield Hallam student Alex Gore has scoped an inspirational student award for being a driving force during a 12-month placement at The Right Fuelcard Company (TRFC) - an independent distributor of Shell, Keyfuels, UK Fuels and Esso fuel cards.
Alex, a Business and Marketing BA Hons student, has managed a dynamic customer account with support and mentoring from colleagues at TRFC - which has recently been ranked 34 in the Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For and awarded a 3 Star Accreditation for “exceptional” levels of employee’s engagement”.
The student, who came on board in June 2015, has been presented with an ‘Impact on an Organisation Award’ from Sheffield Business School for enhancing customer service by the time his placement ends.
Said TRFC business director, Adam Walsh: “Inquisitive and bright with excellent communication skills with colleagues and customers alike, Alex picks up the key points of business quickly. His hard work and attitude make him a popular member of staff, and I am not alone in saying we will miss him when he returns to university”.
Alex commented: “I’m thrilled with my award and am immensely enjoying working with a fantastic and highly proactive company with a tangible team spirit. I’m now comfortable working in a professional and upbeat environment and feel prepared for the post-graduate working world. My dream job is a role in the energy industry that allows me to travel, so TRFC is the perfect place to develop sector-specific skills and competencies.”
Alex received his award at a prestigious ceremony held at Hallam View, at Sheffield Hallam University.
