Knight Knox launches third phase of £200m X1 Media City scheme
Property investment firm Knight Knox has launched phase three of the multi-million pound X1 Media City scheme.
The £200m development is transforming the Salford Quays skyline with the creation of four new waterfront towers comprising 1,100 apartments.
The 275-home third tower is due for completion in Winter 2018, while the first two towers are expected to complete at the end of next year.
Knight Knox’s sales director, Michael Fenlon, said: “With the first two phases of X1 Media City being incredibly popular, we have no doubt that the third phase will sell out very quickly – particularly as investment activity soars across the North West region.
“Salford Quays is a hugely popular area and has been the focal point of the city’s regeneration in recent years.”
He added: “We’re delighted to be providing another premium residential property scheme to one of the country’s investment hotspots.”
Located on Michigan Avenue, X1 Media City has already seen 103 of the apartments in phase three snapped up by investors, at a sales value of around £17.1m.
In addition to the one- and two-bedroom and studio apartments, the site will also house a private gym, subterranean parking, an on-site cinema and retail units.
The development will be let and managed by North West letting agent X1 Lettings, while Liverpool-based building firm Vermont Construction is delivering the development.
X1’s operational and regional manager, Melissa Green, commented: “Having worked closely with Knight Knox for a number of years, we’re thrilled to jointly announce the third phase of the popular X1 Media City development.
“As with the other two towers, the design of the third tower perfectly complements the surrounding area. We’ve no doubt that the launch will be a huge hit, given the exceptional quality of our properties and the unrivalled amenities.”
She continued: “This is an exciting time for X1; the first two towers are now rising high above the city’s skyline and we cannot wait to see the next tower join them!”
