Cardiff-based heating and plumbing firm joins HomeServe family

A commercial heating and plumbing firm in Cardiff has launched a new domestic division focused on helping homeowners in South Wales after joining forces with leading UK home assistance provider HomeServe.

Based just north of Cardiff in Llanishen, M.D.B Heating will now offer boiler installations and a range of other gas-related heating services to residential Customers under a new ‘HomeServe Cardiff’ brand.

“Joining forces with HomeServe is an exciting new step for us as a business,” said Martin Barnfield, Managing Director of M.D.B Heating. “Over the last ten years we’ve established a solid reputation as a business that puts its Customers first and delivers a friendly, reliable and quality service. We’re really looking forward to building on that success in the domestic market with HomeServe’s support, helping even more local people with everything from new boiler installations to repair work and services.”

M.D.B Heating joins an established network of HomeServe franchise businesses based across England, Scotland and now Wales. Through the new HomeServe Cardiff brand, domestic heating services will be provided to homeowners in areas including Cardiff, Newport, Chepstow, Abergavenny, Merthyr Tydfil, Barry and Llantwit Major.

Richard Shepherd, Chief Operating Officer at HomeServe, said: “The creation of this new partnership to form HomeServe Cardiff is an important step forward as we look to expand our franchisees across the UK to offer increased boiler installations and heating services.

HomeServe Cardiff will provide services including boiler installations, boiler servicing, boiler repairs, emergency boiler repairs, power flushing, appliance services and smart thermostat installations. To celebrate the launch of the franchise, new Customers can get two years servicing worth £144 with any new boiler installation completed on or before 30th June 2016.
