New homes bring community benefits to Cranfield
Cranfield is set to benefit from more than £1.5m of community improvements, including new sports pitches and a village green being created as part of a new homes development.
Persimmon Homes will deliver the facilities along with 183 houses, apartments and bungalows in the third phase of its Home Farm development on Lodge Road.
Claire Davidson, head of sales for Persimmon Homes Midlands, said: “The first two phases at Home Farm have proved hugely popular with buyers, thanks to the attractive mixture of house styles which create a lovely traditional village community.
“In addition to the new homes, the development will also deliver sports pitches, play areas and public open space, along with more than £1.5m of financial contributions towards education, healthcare and community improvements.
“This latest phase will include houses, apartments and bungalows to suit a wide range of buyers, with 32 of the properties being affordable homes.”
The Home Farm development will, ultimately, deliver 371 homes, of which 104 will be affordable. Claire added: “Home Farm phase three is expected to go on sale early in 2017 and interested buyers are invited to call into our marketing suite to find out more.
“Many of the people who have already moved in here took advantage of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, which enables purchasers to secure their ideal home with just a five per cent deposit. “We have also assisted a lot of buyers wanting to move up the property ladder by using our Home Change or Part Exchange schemes to help them sell their existing homes.”
