Breakfast Seminar: Working With Trustees
Thinking about raising finance? Northstar Ventures is organising a Social Investment Breakfast Seminar on 8 July to discuss how management teams of charitable organisations can work with their trustees to make successful strategic decisions regarding social investment.
When it comes to raising finance, communication between management and trustees can be challenging. A common issue among charitable organisations is the need to raise finance without being exposed to excessive risk. This seminar aims to explore different approaches to working with your board of trustees, using case studies from social entrepreneurs who have already successfully raised social investment.
If you work for a VCSE organisation, we recommend inviting a member of your board of trustees to attend with you, to get the most out the seminar.
When: Friday, 8 July 2016 from 8am-9.30am
Where: Tyneside Cinema, 10 Pilgrim Street, Newcastle, NE1 6QG
Speakers:
- Peter Gilson, Northstar Ventures
- Jane Field, Bell View Services
- Jenny Franklin, Smiles
The event is free to attend for all voluntary and community organisations, including trustees.
