Teesside photographer combines skills with drone technology
Peak Aerial, a digital imaging firm, has landed a £25k loan to enhance its offering through investing in the latest drone technology.
The Teesside-based business, which specialises in the provision of digital inspection and imaging techniques using drone technology, focusses its use on the industrial sector carrying out the inspection of buildings, plants and equipment at a height.
Landing funding from regional loan scheme the Finance for Business North East Microloan Fund, Peak Aerial can now offer a one stop solution to industrial inspections at height.
Founded in 2014, the company is led by sole Director Paul Kitchener who spent 4 years running Peak Image Studio.
Working as a professional photographer before founding his new venture, Paul previously serviced a range of corporate and private clients and was appointed to manage the national contract for Tesco’s PR photography.
He explained: “The micro loan injection has enabled PEAK Aerial Inspection & Imaging to invest in the relevant training and the latest drone technology, using industry experts and our experience as professional photographers/videographers we can now offer a one stop solution to industrial inspections at height, saving man hours and shutdown time whilst minimising the initial risk to human life.”
The loan secured from the Fund will also enable Peak Aerial to expand into other sectors that suffer from significant regulations and legislative measures and can benefit from the use of drone technology.
James Holloway, Investment Executive, commented: “Paul is a highly experienced photographer with an excellent reputation in the region. Combining his skills with the exciting drone technology will allow the business to expand into a lot of new sectors, and we look forward to seeing what he does next.”
Paul added: “The team at Rivers Capital made the micro loan application process simple while offering great business advice and funds were available within a few weeks, I would encourage any ambitious or expanding north east business to make use of this service.”
