Health firm Totally 'continues business acceleration' with new acquisition

Health group Totally plc have announced the acquisition of NHS-approved About Health Ltd as it looks to diversify its portfolio of out-of-hospital care businesses.

The London-based healthcare firm, which also operates three subsidiaries in Totally Health, My Clinical Coach and Premier Physical Healthcare, have snapped up the Lancashire-based firm for an undisclosed sum.

Established in 2008, About Health Ltd currently has contracts in place with seven NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups, providing community-based health services in dermatology and patient referral management services, and works with 18 clinics across Lancashire, Dorset and Hampshire.

Chief Executive officer of About Health said: “We’re excited to be joining the Totally Plc group and see this as a real opportunity for us consolidate our current services and utilise the business acumen within the company to grow in the future.”

It marks the second acquisition this year by Totally, who acquired London physiotherapy specialists Premier Physical Healthcare in April this year, as part of their strategy to capture a slice of the £20bn market for out-of-hospital care.
