Weightmans supports Liverpool Biennial
North West law firm Weightmans LLP is proud to sponsor a large-scale public artwork as part of Liverpool Biennial, the UK’s largest contemporary art festival.
The firm has sponsored Betty Woodman’s commission for the festival, a bronze fountain installation as part of the event’s Ancient Greece episode. The work combines Egyptian art with baroque Italian architecture to create an impressive 50ft display.
A total of 44 artists have created work which will be on display across the city throughout the duration of the festival. Discussions to make Woodman’s fountain, situated next to George’s Dock Ventilation Tower, a more permanent feature are underway.

“The fountain is a truly eye-catching piece, which sits beautifully next to the art deco George’s Dock Tower. It’s ambitious and wonderfully unique, so suits Liverpool culture perfectly. We hope it has a long life in the city.”
