Leeds’ Castlehouse Construction completes Northwich Lidl makeover
Castlehouse Construction, the Leeds-based building firm, has completed work on a project to revamp a Lidl supermarket in Northwich.
The project, which started in February, saw the Chester Way store upgraded with a 2,066 sq ft non-sales extension incorporating a new bakery and shop entrance.
Externally, the upgrades included the introduction of floor-to-ceiling shopfront glazing, recladding of the site’s elevations and the installation of replacement windows and doors.
Castlehouse also delivered layout changes to the store’s car park to enhance the customer parking experience and add a trolley bay.
The works form part of an investment programme that will see the supermarket chain modernising its UK-wide portfolio.
Castlehouse director Frank Kofler said; “The Chester Way store continues our long- standing relationship with Lidl and is the eighth project that we have undertaken for the leading retailer.
“The works progressed smoothly on-site and we are delighted to have handed over the enhanced store to Lidl.”
