Sunderland engineering firm acquired by London’s Pell Frischmann
Sunderland-based MEP engineering consultancy Desco has been acquired by Pell Frischmann for an undisclosed sum.
The London-based multi-disciplinary engineering firm, itself owned by RAG Stiftung Investment Company from Germany, is bringing Desco under its wing as part of an aggressive expansion plan to tap into new parts of the country and abroad.
Desco, which has offices in Sunderland, London, Croydon, Leeds, Qatar, and Manila, will keep its existing management board and structures in place.
Becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pell Frischmann, Desco presents an attractive proposition following its work on Hebburn Central and a string of major developments for Nissan.
Tushar Prabhu, Chief Executive of Pell Frischmann, explained: “The North East boasts a fine tradition of engineering excellence and Desco’s success is a tribute to that. We see major opportunities ahead for growth and are pleased to welcome Desco to our team.”
Paul Marshall, Managing Director at Desco, added: “This marks a new and exciting phase for Desco as we accelerate our growth strategy with the backing of a major international investor and Pell Frischmann’s expertise in the transport, water and environment sectors.”
