Intermedia Appoints New Chief Financial Officer
Intermedia, a leading cloud business applications provider, announced today that Bob Tirva has joined the company as its new Chief Financial Officer. Tirva joins Intermedia from Dropbox, Inc., bringing with him more than 25 years of financial management experience.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Bob to the Intermedia executive team,” said Michael Gold, CEO of Intermedia. “Bob brings an ideal combination of skillsets from public and pre-IPO growth companies to support our next chapter of growth. Over the past five years, we have grown dramatically, having more than tripled our revenues, operating profits, users and product offerings. We are grateful to departing CFO, Scott Allen, for all that he’s done in his time with the company, and look forward to continued success under Bob’s financial leadership.”
“Intermedia is a long-standing cloud leader,” said Tirva. “Building on its success as the largest independent provider of Microsoft® Exchange in the cloud, Intermedia has diversified its offerings with proprietary services like SecuriSync® backup and file sharing and Cloud PBX, various security products, archiving, mobility, and third-party services such as Office 365™ productivity applications. Intermedia is uniquely positioned in multiple fast-growing cloud IT markets with a broad-reaching network of over 6,000 partners, and I’m delighted to be a part of the exciting road ahead.”
As Dropbox’s Corporate Controller, Tirva was responsible for developing the company’s accounting organisation, including the improvement of controls, increasing oversight of business operations, and optimising its global financial systems.
Prior to Dropbox, Tirva spent nearly 14 years at Broadcom Corporation, holding a range of finance roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of Finance. Before Broadcom, Tirva held positions with IBM Corporation, Navistar Financial Corporation and Ernst & Young. Tirva earned an MBA from Yale and a bachelor of business administration degree in Accounting from Notre Dame.
