Liverpool FC to supercharge players with new sports nutrition deal
Liverpool FC have struck a deal with Science in Sport plc (SiS) to make the firm their new official sports nutrition partner.
The agreement, which will span the 2016/2017 season, will see SiS working closely with the club to create bespoke nutrition plans and fuel the Reds during training, matches and recovery.
SiS’ tailored nutrition offer will be developed for the LFC First Team, Ladies and Academy teams and will incorporate a range of the company’s products, from its isotonic energy gels to its protein supplements.
All SiS products are manufactured at the firm’s facility in Lancashire.
Liverpool’s chief commercial officer, Billy Hogan, commented: “Nutrition is integral to any successful football team and we’re looking forward to working alongside SiS this season.
“SiS is committed to taking its position in the sports nutrition industry seriously which is something that is extremely important to Liverpool Football Club.”
SiS CEO Stephen Moon said: “I am delighted that we will be partnering with Liverpool FC this season – not only as their official sports nutrition partner but also working with them on developing and testing a number of innovative products that we have in our launch pipeline.
“It is a very exciting time in the business and we look forward to a busy next few months.”
