Mobalpa Islington celebrates a successful first year
An Islington-based kitchen retailer is celebrating its first anniversary this September by raising vital funds for its Essex Road neighbour, Sue Ryder, through in-store bidding.
Mobalpa Kitchens Islington is inviting the public to mark a successful first year in business on 3 September by bidding on kitchen appliances worth up to £800, with donation from as little as £1 to bid to raise money for the charity.
Edmund Thai, owner and general manager of the showroom, said: “We have enjoyed a fruitful first year in Islington as part of the Mobalpa UK franchise network. In the last 12 months we’ve designed kitchens to suit different lifestyles, and we’re surrounded by such a welcoming community that it felt natural to celebrate by giving something back to a local charity.”
Edmund and his team are inviting the public to help them celebrate by taking part in the charity auction, with all funds donated to Sue Ryder. Kitchen appliances and accessories available for bidding include donations from Mobalpa, DFMK, Blanco, Sinks and Things, Marble Group, BSH Group, Quooker, and EQ Systems.
“We have great relationships with our suppliers and are delighted that they’re getting involved with our charity auction, offering bidders the chance to own high-end appliances from as little as £1.
“All money raised will go directly to the Islington Sue Ryder branch, where funds are used to provide incredible hospice and neurological care for people facing a frightening, life-changing diagnosis, so we’re encouraging people to bid as high as they can!” added Edmund.
Bidding will take place at the Mobalpa Islington showroom on 148 – 150 Essex Road, from Monday 29 August to Saturday 3 September. Visitors on 3 September can join in the party between 9.30am – 6pm with all-day refreshments, champagne and live demonstrations from a Siemens home economist who’ll be sharing tips on making the most of Siemens kitchen appliances.
