Sintons advises on North East's only Harley-Davidson dealership
Law firm Sintons has advised one of the region’s biggest car dealers following the launch of the North East’s only Harley-Davidson dealerships.
The commercial team at the Newcastle-based solicitors worked with Jennings Motor Group in developing the new 2,500 sq m site at Elsington Park, which opened in July and created 12 new jobs in the region.
Commercial Partner Christopher Welch and Real Estate Partner Alok Loomba worked closely with the car deal, which has been operating in the region for 104 years, in developing and launching the US motorcycle franchise which complements Jennings’ sister site in Leeds.
Loomba commented: “Harley-Davidson is a hugely prestigious and iconic name in the motor industry and it’s a very welcome addition to the North East.
“Jennings Motor Group has a long and proud history in this region and they have invested heavily to create a truly stunning site which befits the Harley-Davidson brand.
“It’s been a pleasure to assist with this project, the latest of many ambitious schemes Jennings has undertaken to bring new jobs and investment to their native North East.”
Commenting on the firm’s vision with the new dealership, Sohail Khan, Director at Jennings Motor Group, said that the group wanted to showcase its North East heritage within the showroom.
He added: “Our architects and construction team have done an exceptional job in meeting the brief, both internally and externally.
“We are absolutely delighted to bring the prestigious and globally-recognised Harley Davidson brand to the North East region and look forward to replicating the success of our existing Leeds Harley-Davidson dealership here in Gateshead.”
