Main contractor appointed to £6.5m scheme at Victoria House in Leeds
Construction firm Trilandium has been appointed to construct Victoria House on Skinners Lane in Leeds city centre.
Elliot Group, the north west developer, appointed Trilandium to deliver the 106 apartment scheme, which have all been sold off-plan to UK and overseas retail investors.
The 60-week programme has a construction value of £6.5m and WYG are acting as project managers for the Falconer Chester Hall-designed development.
This is the first Elliot Group scheme outside the north west market.
Elliot Lawless, Elliot Group director, explained: “the Leeds economy is in great shape and its appeal to investors is based around good yields and the city’s position as the capital of a region which last year created more jobs than the whole of France.
“London is no longer a viable residential investment proposition, so investors are firmly focused on the leading provincial cities.
“Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool stand substantially above any others, which explains our focus. We remain active in seeking out further development opportunities in Leeds.”
Preparatory work has already begun on site and the scheme is expected to be completed by December 2017.
