Awards success for Be Wiser Insurance
Hampshire-based Be Wiser Insurance is celebrating news that it has been shortlisted for two awards in the prestigious Insurance Brokers Awards.
It is bidding to be named Personal Lines Broker of the Year and to win The Training Award with this year’s winners set to be announced later this month.
Financial director Andrew Dunkerley said the awards recognise the very best in the UK insurance industry and he was delighted that the company had been shortlisted.
“We pride ourselves on offering a first class service to customers and to our staff and are pleased that this commitment has seen us shortlisted for the Personal Lines Broker of the Year award and for the training accolade,’’ he said.
“The last year has been one of expansion and change for us and we are thrilled that these have contributed to recognition in these awards.”
Be Wiser has also built up a formidable reputation for training in the insurance industry with more than 200 apprentices and the launch this month of the first degree programme of its kind.
“Training has always been a top priority for the company and we are pleased that our extensive programme has been acknowledged,’’ said Crescens George, the company’s director of training and development.
The award is designed to recognise investment in staff skills and Crescens said the company has invested heavily in new recruits at its Andover head office and new Swindon operation together with providing career development and industry innovation such as the new degree.
