Walkden Business Hub opens for Salford SMEs
A new facility providing space for businesses in the Salford area has opened in Walkden.
The Walkden Business Hub, located at Walkden Town Centre, comprises 6,965 sq ft of newly refurbished office space across 10 new units ranging from 369 sq ft to 1,500 sq ft.
Launched by property firm The Derwent Group, the Hub forms a part of a wider strategy to diversify its offer in Walkden and weave commercial space into its existing retail and leisure development.
The new offices, created in a number of configurations, will be accompanied by meeting room space, high-speed Wi-Fi, 24-hour security and more than 2,000 on-site car parking spaces.
Walkden Business Hub is located on the junction of Bolton Road and the A6, a principal arterial route in and out of central Manchester.
The Derwent Group’s senior property manager, Peter Gilliland, said: “The redevelopment of Walkden Business Hub will diversify the offering in the centre, providing local businesses with the ideal opportunity to set up or relocate to a centrally located, secure office with flexible terms at a reasonable rate.
“With strong transport links and a competitive retail and leisure offering already available on site, we continue to attract further strong interest from tenants and anticipate significant growth in the long-term.”
Walkden Business Hub’s appointed agent is Miller Metcalfe.
