Next phase of luxury apartments at BBC Television Centre to be released this week

A further 30 more apartments are set to be released to the public this week at the ongoing redevelopment of the former BBC Television Centre.

Work on the 14 acre site includes 500,000 sq ft of offices and 950 new homes with Stirling Prize-winning architectural practice AHMM designing both the office and apartments on the site, which developer Stanhope snapped up for £200m in 2012.

After high demand during the initial residential launch back in April, the developers have announced that 30 more apartments a set to be released to market this Saturday 24 September.

The new apartments do not come cheap, however, with prices starting at £750,000 for a one bedroom flat and rising to £8m for a penthouse.

Managing Director at Television Centre, Alistair Shaw, said: “We have be immensely encouraged by the interest from the public since we launched public sales in April 2016, with over 50% of apartments in the first phase now sold or reserved.

“Now is the perfect time to release further homes, each of which will provide a unique mix of modern living and a heritage address including Soho House and three live television studios continuing the legacy of the BBC at Television Centre.”

A further £8bn of investment is planned at the White City development over the next 15 years with new restaurants, 2,500 homes and an extension to the Westfield London shopping centre all planned.
