Work to start on next phase of £12m Anfield housing project
Work on the next phase of The Parks, a multi-million pound housing redevelopment in Liverpool, is about to get underway.
Phase four of the £12m Anfield project from housing and community regeneration firm Keepmoat will see 106 homes built by May 2019.
So far, 327 homes have been delivered in previous phases.
The new builds will comprise 25 two-bed houses, 66 three-bed properties and 15 four-bed homes. Each will be made available for private sale, with prices ranging from £92k to £170k.
To maximise local employment and business, Keepmoat has confirmed it is using local subcontractors for tasks such as bricklaying, joinery, tiling and landscaping.
Keepmoat’s North West managing director, Gareth Roberts, said: “There is an unrivalled commitment from all partners involved in this project and we’re proud to be a part of that vision to regenerate Anfield.
“The first three phases of build have justified the belief that more quality new homes are needed in the region; as demand hasn’t faltered.”
He added: “The availability of schemes like Help to Buy and our shared equity scheme has buoyed interest from first time buyers in particular and this next phase will offer more solutions to support local people get that first rung on the housing ladder.”
The Parks forms part of a £260m regeneration partnership between Liverpool City Council, Your Housing Group and Liverpool Football Club.
