High Street TV Announces New International Director Appointment
Market-leading multi-channel retailer, High Street TV (Group) Limited, has announced the appointment of Phil Wood to the position of international sales director.
Phil Wood previously held the role of retail general manager at the Harrogate-based company for eight years. His promotion marks a key phase of the company’s ambitious growth strategy, overseeing and developing its successful international distribution channels.
High Street TV is the UK’s most successful and longest running multi-channel DRTV Home Shopping Channel, broadcasting over 3,000 hours per month across five dedicated TV channels. The brand’s successful product portfolio includes NutriBullet, Pressure King Pro and XHose - all category bestsellers. It trades with more than 40 leading blue chip UK retailers across 9,000 outlets and trades globally.
Jim Coleman, co-founder & chief executive, said Phil was the ideal choice for this key strategic role.
He commented: “Phil’s appointment will be a major driver to us continuing our success to date– reflected in the fact that we were recently listed on Sunday Times’ Virgin Fast Track 100 and International Fast Track 200. He will play a key part in expanding our thriving International Division as we continue to grow the High Street TV offer worldwide.”
Phil’s new role will see him travel internationally with the business, liaising with new and existing partners, as well as working closely with international High Street TV bases overseas.
He is looking forward to the new opportunity at High Street TV and playing a key role in the next phase of business growth internationally:
“Our International Division launched three years ago, and we already sell to over 80 countries worldwide.
“This new role is an ideal transition for me as I look to apply my experience and knowledge gained in the retail team to an international platform.
“I’m looking forward to working with colleagues old and new, in the UK and overseas, on this exciting new challenge.”
